Still Life
In this series I look for the simple magic in the world. The time spent creating these works is about the search with paint for the illusion of light, depth and beauty. As a painter working from the still life is fundamental in seeing and composing. I intuitively set up the still life, choosing objects based on color, shape and physical properties. I paint working directly from life, most inspired by the light. Still life painting is some of my most personal work because the objects and spatial relationships tell a story.
They are all signed and dated on the back. Signature on the front upon request. All works are framed in a maple floater frame.
