Twenty minute Oil Sketches
These studies are from the weekly Warwick (Tuesday Morning) Drawing Group. This is a two-hour session that does a mix of long and short poses. Most of these are twenty-minute oil sketches. This is my practice playtime with paint. I am always trying something new such as a new paint color, new brush, or new surface. It is my time to not care about the outcome. Sometimes, I set up rules for myself – a controlled palette, or only my left hand, or only a palette knife…Most of these studies get sanded down, I usually post them weekly to my jaja_jhowardfatta account.
