On November 7th, 2015 5-7PM the Wallkill River School in Montgomery will host an opening Reception for the 3 Artists Marge Morales, Laura Kohlmann, and myself.
The exhibit will be on view November 1st through November 30th. The work shown here will be from the Art Farm Trail. I have once again painted at the Applewood Orchard. I had plans to paint the people there, the events, and maybe do a woodcut series, but no. I was attracted to the foliage, the abundance of the apples, the light, and I painted light. I painted the light on the roses in Suzie’s Garden, the light coming between the branches on the apples, the light coming between the trees. the light on my daughters face in the shade of the apple trees.
In this exhibit I will also show some of my other favorite paintings created this year on some of my other travels including Olana Historic Site, Assateague National Park, Maryland and Acadia National Park, Maine.
